When to choose this product

Operator-grade use case

The cheapest legitimate US entity. Use it when minimum cost over five years matters more than banking-acceptance friction. NM has no annual report and no franchise tax: the only recurring cost is the $69/yr registered agent.

Pairs naturally with the First-100 promo at $50 (state-fee-only) and with operators whose US business is purely as a contracting vehicle (no banking required, or banking via Wise / Mercury with strong frame).

Less ideal if banking is mission-critical. Mercury and Relay anecdotally approve Wyoming faster than New Mexico, and NM's case-law depth on single-member LLC asset protection is thinner than WY's.

FAQ

Common questions

Why is New Mexico the cheapest US LLC?
No annual report and no franchise tax, and the Secretary of State does not collect member names. Over five years it is the lowest-maintenance US entity on the menu.
Is the anonymity real?
At the state level, yes: your name does not appear on the formation document. Federal beneficial-ownership reporting was narrowed in 2025, but your registered agent still identifies you under its own program.
Can I get US banking with a New Mexico LLC?
Yes, with an EIN, though approval is anecdotally higher for Wyoming. If banking is mission-critical, consider Wyoming; if cost is the priority, New Mexico wins.
